ASEAN to negotiate with China on Spratlys

Manila-Member countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations last month agreed to jointly negotiate with China on oil exploration projects in the resource-rich but hotly contested Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, an official with the Philippine Department of Energy said last week.
