Petromin inks FLNG deal with Hoegh LNG, Daewoo

Singapore-Papua New Guinea’s state-owned Petromin PNG signed an agreement July 13 with South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and Norway’s Hoegh LNG to develop a 3 million mt/year floating LNG production terminal, Hoegh said in a statement on its web site. The statement said the companies would carry out a joint study to determine the technical and economic viability of developing PNG’s gas reserves using floating LNG production storage and offloading technology.
