Singapore-Malaysia’s LNG exports in May rose 28.5% from April’s 1.48 million mt to 1.9 million mt, and were also 23.76% higher than a year ago, according to data released July 9 by the country’s department of statistics. Prices for May also hit the highest level so far in 2010, at an average of $535.87/mt ($10.31/MMBtu), up 70.7% year on year and 5% from April. Malaysia received a total of Ringgit 3.26 billion ($1.02 billion) for its LNG exports in May, up 111.3% on the year and 35% on the month.
