London-BP has no plans to shut any of its refining capacity to mitigate current dismal refining economics, but continues to target cost savings at its downstream operations, BP downstream chief Iain Conn said February 2."We have no plans to reduce our refining capacity," Conn told reporters at a quarterly results presentation. "We've been focusing on the quality of our refining assets for some time...in an oversupplied market there is only one place to go and that is quality over quantity."
