Russia targets 2.1% output gain for 2010

Moscow-Russian crude oil production in 2010 is expected to hit a record 505 million mt (10.1 million b/d), up 2.1% from last year's 494 million mt, Russia's energy min- istry said December 10. Until recently, the energy ministry forecast for total crude production this year had been around the 500 million mt mark, but the increased output in recent months has led the ministry to revise its projection upward.
