Sydney-Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production has seen no evidence that Indonesia suffered any damage as a result of the oil leak 12 months ago from the Montara field in the Timor Sea off northwest Australia, the company’s local subsidiary said in a statement August 26. “Representatives of PTTEP Australasia (PTTEPAA) met in Perth today with an Indonesian government delegation regarding claimed impacts of oil released from the company’s Montara field,” PTTEPAA said. “The delegation leader presented a summary of a claim for compensation,” the company added.
