UK’s Victoria buoyed by Cameroon reserves upgrade

Cape Town-Shares in UK-based explorer Victoria Oil and Gas rose sharply October 20 after it said the proved natural gas reserves at its Logbaba field onshore Cameroon have increased about five-fold to 49 billion cubic feet following a report compiled by Blackwatch Petroleum Services. The report also revealed the explorer’s proven and provable reserves have more than doubled to 212 Bcf, while the prospective resource is now estimated to be in excess of 1 Tcf of gas. By the close in London, Victoria’s shares were up 36%.
