Tehran-Iranian oil minister Masoud Mirkaze-mi said February 6 the country had made an onshore gas and gas condensate discovery that once producing could bring in $80 billion in revenues, the oil ministry's Shana news agency reported."The Halegan gas field in southern Fars province can produce 50 million cubic meters/d for 20 years," Shana quoted Mirkazemi as saying. "If gas sells at $0.30/cubic meter and condensate at $70/barrel, it is predicted this field will bring in $80 billion income for the country," Mirkazemi said, without providing any further production details.
