CNOOC to expand Taizhou asphalt, lubricant plant

Singapore-Chinese offshore oil and gas pro- ducer CNOOC plans to spend Yuan 8 billion ($1.2 billion) expanding a plant in Taizhou city in east China's Jiangsu province to pro- duce 3 million mt/year of asphalt and 600,000 mt/year of lubricants, Sinopec's newsletter China Petroleum News said November 5. CNOOC has completed the design phase of the project and plans to start on the expansion within two years, according to the report.
