Shell eyes 2012 output of 3.5 million boe/d

London-Shell said March 16 it plans to raise oil and gas production to 3.5 million b/d of oil equivalent in 2012, up 11% from 2009, with a raft of new projects helping to turn around its flagging upstream growth to 2020.In an annual strategy update, Shell said the longer-term target is supported by a potential 35 new projects that are set to tap some 8 billion boe in resources.
