Total given approval for Phase 2 at UK West Franklin

London-Total has been given UK approval to go ahead with a $1 billion project to extend th life of the West Franklin oil and gas field in the North Sea, the company said November 30. Phase 2 of the development of the West Franklin field was approved by the UK Depart- ment of Energy and Climate Change, Total said.
