New York-US retail gasoline demand rose 2.3% to 9.41 million b/d for the week ended January 15 from the same week the previous year, according to a sales survey released January 19 by MasterCard Advisors. The four-week rolling average increased 1.2% year on year to a weekly rate of 64.247 million barrels, in line with the previous week's 1.1% hike in the four-week rolling average, the MasterCard SpendingPulse gasoline retail sales survey data showed.
