Washington-A dispute between two US gov- ernment agencies over access to the blowout preventer from the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig is likely to delay the start of a forensic examination of the massive device. A firm hired by the Interior Department to conduct the physical examination of the BOP had been scheduled to start its work on November 8. But talks between the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement and the Chemical Safety Board were being held late November 5 to resolve a disagreement over what kind of access to the tests the CSB is entitled to.
