Shell sells LPG assets in Sri Lanka for $63 million

Houston-Shell November 3 said it is selling its LPG business in Sri Lanka to the govern- ment for $63 million. The government will buy Shell's 51% inter- est in Shell Gas Lanka Limited and 100% of shares in Shell Terminal Lanka Limited, according to a Shell statement. The Sri Lanka government announced last month cabinet approval to buy back from Shell the 51% stake it does not already hold in Shell Gas Lanka, the joint venture between Shell and the government of Sri Lanka.
