Doha-Members of the Gas Exporting Coun- ries Forum, which control two-thirds of global natural gas reserves, will gather at their new headquarters in Doha December 2 ahead of he group's 11th ministerial meeting to discuss a medium- and long-term strategy they hope will usher in a new era for a market in crisis. The GECF's Russian Secretary General Leonid Bokhanovsky said in a forward to the group's newsletter that the GECF is working on a five-year strategy as well as a longer- erm model for the global gas market, estab- ishing a data reporting mechanism and devel- oping a gas market model, which he stressed would adhere to free market principles.
