摘要

Istanbul-The Iran-Turkey natural gas pipeline has been closed following an explosion close to the eastern Turkish city of Dogubeyazit and is likely to remain shut for at least a week for repairs, a spokesman for Turkey’s energy ministry told Platts July 21. The spokesman said the explosion occurred late July 20 and resulted in a fire, which was extinguished within 15 minutes. But damage to the line was such that it is expected to be closed for at least seven days while repairs are carried out, he said.
