German RWE Dea makes Titan oil find in North Sea

Copenhagen-Germany's RWE Dea has made an oil discovery at the Titan prospect in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, which could hold between 12.6 million and 62.9 mil- lion barrels of oil equivalent. RWE Dea said it is early days with the dis- covery, the first in production license 420, but described the find as promising. It was made about 16 km (9.9 miles) west of the produc- ing Gjoa field. RWE Dea has a 30% stake in the license, and is partnered by Japan's Idemitsu (30%) and Statoil (40%).
