Moscow-Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said October 11 the country plans to increase its natural gas production to 1 trillion cubic meters/year in 2030-up from 650 Bcm/year currently-with independent producers set to make up an increasing percentage of the output. “Our producers can and must meet the growing demand for gas,” Putin said at a meeting on developing the Russian gas industry during a visit to the Yamal-Nenets autonomous region.
