New York-New York Mercantile Exchange March crude oil settled 35 cents higher at $80.16/barrel February 22, with the NYMEX RBOB contract remaining in the leadership position on strike action in Europe.NYMEX March RBOB rose 3.01 cents to settle at $2.1158/gal, putting the March RBOB crack spread at $8.70/b, up from the prior trading day's $7.789/b. With the March crude contract expiring February 22, the focus will turn to the April RBOB crack spread, which settled at $13.056/b, up from $12.35/b the prior trading day, and $11.34/b on February 16.
