Japan's Tepco to reduce crude purchases in 2010-11

Tokyo-Tokyo Electric Power Company has placed an initial order to buy a total of 2.50 million kiloliters (15.72 million barrels or 43,081 b/d) of crude and fuel oil from Japanese refiners and trading houses for fiscal 2010-11 (April-March), a source close to the matter told Platts March 19.The figure is down 28.6% from the 3.50 million kl initial total volume for fiscal 2009-10, the source said.
