New York-Groups against US ethanol subsidies October 12 took advantage of a recent corn price spike to attack a plan that would renew ethanol tax credits and boost the fuel’s use by re-categorizing it as an “advanced fuel.” They voiced their concerns a day ahead of an expected decision by the Environmental Protection Agency to allow higher ethanolgasoline blends, possibly up to 15% or E15, for conventional vehicles (ON 10/6).
