Japan seeks 1.9 million barrels of Middle East oil

Tokyo-State-owned Japan Oil, Gas and Met- als National Corporation (Jogmec) plans to buy up to 1.89 million barrels of Middle East- ern crudes for its strategic petroleum reserves through a one-day tender on Decem- ber 3, as well as securing storage capacity for the oil, the company said November 24.
