TNK-BP sees slow progress on Algeria talks

London-Anglo-Russian oil venture TNK-BP continues talks with BP over the purchase of the UK major’s assets in Algeria, Venezuela and Vietnam, though negotiations over the Algerian assets are progressing more slowly than the others, a senior TNK-BP official said October 12. Speaking on the sidelines of the annual Oil and Money conference in London, TNK-BP Chief Operating Officer Bill Schrader said the assets in all three countries fit with the company’s business goals.
