London-Italy's Eni has dropped plans to sell its 85,000 b/d Livorno refinery and adjacent lubricants plant in northeast Italy after failing to agree to a price for the plant, CEO Paolo Scaroni said February 12.In September last year, Eni had said it was in preliminary talks with UK private equity fund Klesch & Company for the sale of the plant and hoped to complete the sale by the end of 2009.
