UK's Desire drills biggest Falkland Island prospect

London-UK-based Desire Petroleum has started drilling its latest exploration well off- shore the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, targeting the Jacinta and Dawn prospects, the company said December 20. The Jacinta prospect, in Desire's 100%- owned Tranche I license, is the company's biggest prospect with a 1 billion barrel recov erable oil potential, but the chance of suc- cessfully finding oil is estimated at only 6%.
