Oman crude quality changes on new mix

Singapore-The quality of Oman crude loading in January has deteriorated sharply compared to previous months, according to sources with at least two Asian refiners that have received their cargo nominations for next month. Sources said the gravity of Oman crude had been declared at 31 API, compared to a much lighter 33 API as recently as the summer. The sulfur content on January cargoes has risen to 1.25-1.35%, compared with 1.1- 1.2% previously.
