West Australia to buy Kimberley LNG hub

Sydney-The state government of Western Australia has moved to compulsorily acquire the land it has earmarked for its Kimerley LNG precinct after local indigenous stakeholders failed to reach a land use agreement for the site at James Price Point. The precinct site, on the Kimberley coast about 60 km (37 miles) north of the town of Broome, is unallocated crown land, over which no native title has currently been determined, the Western Australian government said in a statement September 2.
