Marathon starts oil output at Norway's Volund field

Houston-US-based Marathon Oil said September 16 first oil has been produced at the Volund field offshore Norway after it received in July regulatory approval for the startup. The Volund field is expected to reach peak oil production of 25,000 b/d, the timing of which is subject to available processing capacity on the Alvheim floating production vessel, Marathon said in a statement.
