US’ Hess agrees to buy Total’s Norway field stakes

New York—The US’ Hess said June 21 it is to buy additional stakes in the Norwegian North Sea Valhall and Hod fields from France’s Total for $496 million after exercising its preemp- tive right to partly block Total’s sale of those assets to BP.
