SBM Malaysia wins FPSO contract worth $1.2 billion

Singapore-Oil and gas services company SBM Malaysia said September 15 it had won a $1.2 billion contract to build a floating production, storage and offloading vessel for the Aseng field in Block I offshore West Africa's Equatorial Guinea. First production from the Noble Energy-operated field is expected by mid-2012 at 50,000 b/d. US-listed Noble holds a 40% stake in Aseng.
