Washington—Biodiesel industry officials pleaded with House lawmakers March 4 to extend a tax credit for blending the fuel into petroleum-based diesel before it expires at the end of this year.The hearing took place a day after European member states broadly backed plans by the European Commission to impose provisional anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on imports of US biodiesel (ON 3/4). The move will shut one of the few profitable sales routes for US product at this point.
