UK-based JKX sees impressive results from Russia gas well

London-UK-based upstream junior JKX Oil & Gas said October 6 the results of its first test well at the Koshekhablskoye field in Russia "significantly exceeded" the company's expectations. Well 27 flowed at 13.1 million cubic feet/day of gas and an estimated 12 b/d of condensate. "This flow rate significantly exceeds the rates anticipated at the time of acquisition of the Koshekhablskoye field in 2007 which averaged 6 MMcf/d," JKX said in a statement.
