Ethanol lobby wants fuel labels to identify country

Washington-US ethanol industry lobbying group Growth Energy called for legislation September 1 that would require "country of origin" labeling for liquid fuels as a way to inform consumers where their gasoline is coming from. The proposal is aimed at aiding the flagging ethanol industry by deterring consumers from purchasing gasoline with some of its content originating from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq, and other foreign countries.
