Alaska officials review oil, gas profits tax, want details

Anchorage-Alaska Governor Sean Parnell and Pat Galvin, the state revenue commissioner, were reviewing the state's net profits tax on oil and gas following complaints by state legislators that the tax is impairing new industry investment, Galvin said December 11 in an interview. Galvin added, however, that he has yet to hear from industry of any specific examples of problems with the tax.
