Total CEO eyes LNG supply from Shtokman

Buenos Aires-France's Total will get LNG from the massive Shtokman project in which it is a partner, even though the official position is that Russia's Gazprom would own all the planned LNG output of 7.5 billion cubic meters/year, Total CEO Christophe de Marg-erie said on the sidelines of an industry conference in Buenos Aires. "Gazprom in the contract owns all of the production rights, but it has the right to sell LNG to its [Shtokman] partners," de Margerie said. "We not only expect to get LNG from Shtokman, we will get it."
