New York-US distillate inventories climbed 5.197 million barrels to 170.295 million barrels the week ending September 11, the American Petroleum Institute reported September 15. The report looked bearish across the board, with the API reporting a 1.347 million barrel gasoline inventory build and a 631,000 barrel crude build. Analysts were expecting a 2.9 million barrel crude inventory draw, a 1.2 million barrel distillate stock build and a 1 million barrel gasoline stock build.
