Petronas agrees to buy stakes from Cairn in Greenland blocks

London-The UK's Cairn Energy has agreed to sell Malaysia's Petronas a 10% stake in its existing six operated blocks offshore Greenland, and has sold the Malaysian state-owned company a further 2.3% stake in its Indian subsidiary, Cairn said October 14. The value of the deals totals $310 mil-lion-$240 million for the Cairn India shares and $70 million for the Greenland position, Cairn said.
