Singapore Petroleum reviews planned projects

Singapore-Singapore Petroleum Company is reviewing some of its planned investments, including a “green” gasoline project and a cogeneration plant at its joint-venture Singapore Refining Company’s Jurong refinery, amid falling products demand, the Singapore-based integrated oil company said January 5. SPC had been studying a project to produce ultra low sulfur gasoline, previously estimated to cost between $200 million and $300 million, as well as a co-generation plant with a price tag of more than $100 million at the 290,000 b/d SRC refinery.
