OMV and MOL ink major Kurdish gas deal

Dubai-Austria's OMV and Hungary's MOL have formed a joint venture with UAE-based Dana Gas to invest $8 billion to develop two major natural gas fields in the northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan to supply the domestic market and export surplus gas to Europe via the planned Nabucco pipeline, though whether Baghdad will agree to the plan remains to be seen.
