Dragon sees 2008 profit up 21% to $369 million

Dublin—Turkmenistan-focused Dragon Oil saw its net profits rise 21% to $369 million in 2008, while revenues were up 18% to $706 million, the company said in a preliminary results statement March 27.The Dublin- and London-listed company saw production of 40,992 b/d of oil over the year, a significant increase over 2007’s 31,997 b/d. By the end of 2008, production hit 45,600 b/d, Dragon said in a statement.
