GAIL to hike gas transport volumes 16% in 2009-2010

New Delhi—India’s largest natural gas transmitter and marketer, state-owned GAIL, has set a target of transporting 94.8 million cubic meters/d of gas through its pipelines in the fiscal year ending March 2010, up 16% from the current year, the company said March 25.In the first nine months of fiscal 2008-2009, GAIL moved 83.54 million cu m/d of gas.
