Bangladesh seeks investors for LNG terminal

Dhaka-Bangladesh has unveiled plans to build its first LNG import terminal, a $1 billion facility with a capacity of at least 3.5 million mt/year, designed to ease the country's energy supply shortage and meet demand from growing industries, government officials said late November 29. "The country will offer the project along with several large power plant projects before global investment players during the country's planned three overseas road shows in London, New York and Singapore slated for this month [December]," power secretary Abul Kalam Azad said.
