Tokyo—The Japanese Cabinet is set to approve March 10 a set of new legislation proposals that aim to increase use of non-hydrocarbon sources of power, use of biofuels, and efficiency of oil and gas consumption, Japanese government officials said March 9.Following Cabinet approval, the government aims to submit the proposals in the current parliamentary sessions, with a view to bringing them into force within the next two years, the officials said.
