CNOOC unveils higher capex, output plan

Hong Kong-Chinese offshore producer CNOOC Limited on January 20 detailed capex and output plans for 2009 that include a 19% year-on-year jump in spending to $6.76 billion and a 16.9% hike in production to 225 million- 231 million barrels of oil equivalent. Capital spending for exploration, development and production are slated to reach $1.11 billion, $4.38 billion, and $1.12 billion respectively, this year.
