Chesapeake sells gas assets to Indigo for $218 million

Washington-Privately held Indigo Minerals will pay $218 million for 519 Chesapeake Energy wells along with a midstream operation that gathers gas from Chesapeake's wells in North Louisiana, East Texas and Arkansas, both companies said June 8. The all-cash deal does not include Chesa-peake's deeper rights on the land prospective to the Haynesville Shale.
