Singapore—Sri Lanka’s Chunnakam power station will start using fuel oil instead of diesel in a bid to cut costs dramatically as soon as it finishes laying pipelines to supply the fuel from Port Kankasanthurai in Jaffna, a source at state-owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, or Ceypetco, said late last week.
