Japan’s JBSL to receive first ETBE cargo in December

Tokyo—Japan Biofuels Supply Limited, a joint venture involving nine Japanese refiners, is scheduled to receive its first cargo of ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE) from US-based Lyondell Chemical in the second half of December, company officials said November 19. JBSL will receive the 22,000 kl (138,376 barrel) cargo from Lyondell at Nippon Oil’s Wakayama oil terminal in western Japan after the largest Japanese refiner agreed to accept the joint venture’s ETBE shipments, the officials said.
