UK partners start output, sales at Sumatra field

London-UK upstream junior Salamander Energy and its partner, UK-based Serica Energy, have begun selling natural gas from the Kambuna field, offshore Sumatra, Indonesia, the companies said August 11. Salamander is operator and holds a 50% working interest in the field, with Serica holding the remaining 50%. Serica said the gas sales would provide the company with its first "significant" production revenue.
