Poland’s PKN Orlen signs $8 billion crude supply deal

Warsaw—Poland’s largest refiner, PKN Orlen, has signed an $8 billion, three-year crude oil supply contract with Swiss-based trader Souz Petrolium, PKN said late November 27. “I think the signing of this agreement today is a huge success and the best possible solution from the firm’s point of view and for the country’s energy security,” PKN CEO Jacek Krawiec said in a statement. “The oil will be supplied by a company which guarantees the continuity of supplies at a good price.”
