Russia’s Transneft boosts third-quarter net income 67%

Moscow-Russia’s national oil pipeline operator Transneft reported December 31 thirdquarter net income of Rb16.6 billion ($569 million), up 66.7% from the same period of 2007. The company’s sales amounted to Rb72 billion ($2.47 billion) in July-September, up 31% on the year, the company said in a financial report prepared under international financial standards.
